These terms apply to your use of The SLP Reading Nook (the "Site"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. What you get. A paid subscription gives you access to the Site's library of book companions: pre-lessons, crafts and activities, lesson angles, interactive games, printable data sheets, and related materials. Features and books may be added, changed, or removed over time.

2. Accounts. You create an account with your email and a password. You're responsible for keeping your password private and for activity on your account. One subscription is for one person. Please don't share your login with others or sell access to it.

3. Billing and cancellation. Subscriptions are $12 per month or $90 per year (or the current price shown at checkout) and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; this Site never sees or stores your card number. You can cancel anytime. To cancel, email slpreadingnooksupport@gmail.com from the email on your account, or use the cancel link in your Stripe receipt. After cancelling, you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.

4. Refunds. If you're not happy within the first 7 days of your first payment, email us and we'll refund you in full. After that, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

5. How you may use the content. The lesson plans, activity ideas, discussion questions, games, and data sheets are original content created for this Site. Your subscription lets you use them for your own therapy sessions, classroom, or caseload, including printing materials for your students. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or publish the library itself, or share it as a competing product or bulk download.

6. Books and cover images. The books named on the Site, their text, and their cover art belong to their respective authors, illustrators, and publishers. Covers are shown only for identification and organization, may be removed or replaced at any time, and are not part of what you are paying for. If a cover disappears, the lessons, games, and data sheets for that book stay exactly the same, and the quality of the information does not change. See the Cover Image Notice for details and how to report a concern. The Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by any author, illustrator, or publisher. Some books also link to free printables shared by other teachers on outside websites. Those links are only a convenience. We do not host, sell, or control that content, and it belongs to its creators.

7. Professional judgment. The Site is a planning and teaching tool for speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other qualified adults. It is not a substitute for clinical judgment, an evaluation, or an individualized plan of care. You are responsible for deciding what is appropriate for your students and clients.

8. Availability. We work hard to keep the Site running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, pause, change, or discontinue parts of the Site. If we ever end the service entirely, we will try to give you notice first.

9. Ending access. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, such as sharing logins or redistributing content. You can stop using the Site at any time.

10. Limits of responsibility. The Site is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes. We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.

We collect only what we need to run your account and your subscription. We do not sell your information.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and a password. Your password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, so we can't read it.
• Subscription status: whether your account is paid, your plan (monthly or yearly), and a Stripe customer reference so we can match payments and cancellations to your account.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never reaches this Site or our servers. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Book covers: cover images are loaded from Open Library (openlibrary.org), so your browser contacts their servers to display them, as it does for any image on the web. Covers are shown only to help you recognize and organize books, and they can be removed at any time without changing the lessons, games, or data sheets.
• On your device: things like your login, saved books, custom uploads, and preferences are kept in your own browser's storage. They stay on your device.

Who we share it with. Only the services needed to run the Site: Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting and our account database). We don't share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

Cookies and tracking. The Site uses browser storage to keep you logged in and remember your settings. It does not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy first.

Students. The Site is for adult professionals. Please don't enter students' names or personal information, and don't upload anything that identifies a student. The Site is not intended for children to create accounts.

Your choices. You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your account and data at any time by emailing slpreadingnooksupport@gmail.com from your account email. Deleting an account ends access to the Site; billing records held by Stripe may be kept as the law requires.

Security. Accounts are protected with hashed passwords and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.

Changes. If we change this policy, we'll update the date above.

Book cover images shown on this site are used for identification purposes only, to help you recognize and select the books each companion is built around — the same way a bookstore, library catalog, or review site displays a cover next to a description. Covers are linked from Open Library (openlibrary.org), a nonprofit, publicly accessible catalog, and each is credited to its source.

Covers are also used for organization and clarity, so each book is easy to spot in the library. They can be removed at any time, and if one disappears, the lessons, games, and data sheets for that book stay exactly the same. The quality of the information does not depend on the cover.

No cover artwork is modified, sold, or presented as this site's own creative work. All lesson plans, craft ideas, discussion questions, and data sheets are original content written for this site; the books themselves, their cover art, and their text remain the property of their respective authors, illustrators, and publishers.

If you are a rights holder and believe a cover image on this site shouldn't be here, contact slpreadingnooksupport@gmail.com with the book title and your concern, and it will be removed or replaced promptly — this site is run by one person, not a company, and is glad to resolve any concern quickly rather than dispute it.

This notice is a good-faith practice, not a legal opinion — it doesn't guarantee immunity from a claim, but it does mean any concern gets a fast, direct response rather than silence.
